Have you ever shot the pavement at a dragstrip with a temp laser and it reads 142* degrees? Have you ever seen several inches of snow and ice on a dragstrip? Here at the legendary Darlington Dragway, we have seen both. But for the most part, South Carolina offers almost year round weather that suites drag racing.
Darlington Dragway will do everything possible to open it's gates to our racers and spectators for all events. If any type of weather conditions deem to threaten the integrity and/or the safety of the dragstrip, Darlington Dragway will announce as quickly as possible any delays and/or cancellation on our website, forums, facebook, twitter and our new rainedout.com service.
Darlington Dragway Rain Out Policy
Rain delays are not considered a rainout. Bracket Races: No Cash Refunds! If a rainout or cancellation occurs for any reason before eliminations begin pit crew rain checks will be issued. Car and driver credits will be issued to racers. In case of a rainout, if the first round has been completed the money will be spilt. The race will be deemed complete and points will be awarded up to that point. Buy backs will be refunded if the round is not completed. If race is deemed completed, rain checks will not be issued for crew or spectator entry.
Grudge Test and Tune, grudge and bike night: No Cash Refunds! No rain checks once two hours of event time have been logged. Rain checks must be used by years end.
Feature Races: No Cash Refunds! NO Spectator and/or pit crew rain checks will be issued once feature cars have completed first elimination run. Feature race rain checks are good for make-up date only!
