For almost 40 years, the legend Darlington Dragway has hosted numerous drag racing events from IHRA Summit Super Series points races to the Winter Nationals event that featured drag racing legends such as "Big Daddy" Don Garlits, "The Bud King" Kenny Bernstein, John Force & many others.
Starting in 2012, Darlington Dragway has new ownership at the reigns. This news brings a new chapter to the track & some exciting events to our racers and spectators. This seasons schedule features 16 IHRA Summit Super Series points races, Labor Day weekend IHRA Pro-am event, Saturday Night Thunder event this Summer, Quick 8 Outlaw & Dixie Outlaw Doorslammer Pro Mod events, East Coast Grudge event, Mustang Week Shootout, Mopar Week Shootout, the Palmetto Nationals / IHRA Ironman Classic, Pure Power Performance Grudge Fest Bike Tour event and many more.

Are you ready to take one of the baddest dragstrips in the southeast? Well then, lets get ready to race at The House of Speed. For the 2012 season, the legendary Darlington Dragway has 16 IHRA Summit Super Series points races scheduled. Now is the time to sign up.
You have 2 ways you can join the 2012 IHRA Summit Super Series points program at Darlington Dragway. You can meet with Wanda Weikel, Track Points Director for Darlington Dragway, any Saturday during the months of January or February, before or after any of the Grudge TNT - Gamblers Race event to register. IHRA Jr Dragster World Championship
Over the past 10 years the fastest growing and most lucrative grassroots drag racing program in the sport has been the International Hot Rod Association’s Summit Racing SuperSeries. Designed as a championship program for bracket racers around the world, the Summit SuperSeries has crowned nearly two dozen champions and awarded over $1 million in cash and prizes since 2002 and now, through the continued partnership of Summit Racing Equipment, the IHRA is pleased to announce a brand new Summit SuperSeries program for Junior Dragster racers beginning with the 2012 racing season. | Joel Hubbard in Racetech Dragster Wins Gamblers Race
Congratulation to driver Joel Hubbard & car owner Kim Bowers of the Bowers Construction/Quality Comfort sponsored 2004 Racetech Dragster 632 on winning the Gamblers Race at the legendary Darlington Dragway on January 28, 2012 during the Grudge TNT - Gamblers Race event. Driver Joel Hubbard edged out Linda Richardson in the finals round, winner takes all. Great job to both of the drivers.
